Pingado and the Meta app for Stripe
Meta's own Stripe app sends your Stripe payments to Meta through the Conversions API. It is free and takes a few minutes to connect.
Checked against Meta's help article, the Stripe App Marketplace listing and live customer setups, 29 September 2026.
Where they differ
- How a buyer is matched to an ad. The Meta app only sees Stripe, so it sends the customer details Stripe holds, such as email, hashed, and Meta matches them to its users. It never sees the ad click. Pingado also sends the click ID and Meta cookies captured when the visitor arrived, which match more often than customer details alone.
- What gets sent. The Meta app sends payments. Leads happen on your site before Stripe is involved, so they never reach Meta. Pingado sends leads, trial starts and purchases.
- Where it works. The Meta app covers Meta and Stripe only. Pingado sends conversions to Meta, Google, Reddit, X, TikTok and OpenAI, with Stripe, Polar, Dodo Payments, Lemon Squeezy and Paddle.
- What you can check. With the Meta app, results appear in Meta's reports and nowhere else. Pingado shows what was sent to each platform, what was accepted, and which campaign each sale came from.
- Price. The Meta app is free. Pingado is free up to $500 of monthly ad spend with everything included, then $19, $49, or $99 a month as your spend grows.
When the Meta app is enough
- You only advertise on Meta and only take payments through Stripe.
- You only need payments sent, and you judge results inside Ads Manager.
When Pingado is the better fit
- You want Meta to learn from leads and trials, not only payments, so it can optimise before you have many sales.
- You run more than one ad platform, or take payments outside Stripe.
- You want to check any sale back to the click that earned it.
Running both sends the same payments to Meta twice. If you switch to Pingado, disconnect the Meta app first.
